I hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend! We started the weekend a little early with a quick two day “getaway” to my parents beach house out on the East End of Long Island. Brian had some work out there on Friday, so we used it as an excuse take a break from our routine at home and spend some quality time together as a family. We headed back home just in time to celebrate a beautiful Easter day at my parents with some extended family. The highlight of the day was definitely watching Addison during her very first egg hunt. I use the word hunt loosely because it was mostly my younger cousins pointing out where the eggs were and her running to pick them up.
Now, on to this dress! This was supposed to be a post baby, late summer outfit, but once again I had to try it on as soon as it arrived. I loved that the waist was high enough to cover the bump without a problem (wearing my pre-pregnancy size small) and the open front and long back is a really flattering silhouette no matter your body type. I do think as my bump gets bigger I might want to use a little stitch or pin in the front so the opening doesn’t flap out too wide, but for now it’s the perfect fit! I paired this dress with small block heels for a dressier look, but I can totally see myself wearing this with tie up or slide sandals to make the look more casual. Now, if someone would just throw a garden party so I can wear this dress in public asap! I hope everyone is having a great start to their week!
