There are certain errands that feel very mom-ish. Grocery pickup. Pediatrician appointments. Buying snacks in quantities that suggest I am feeding a small summer camp.
Getting my hair done? That feels like mine.
I recently visited Coco Tsang’s hair extension studio in Orlando, and can I just say… this mama needed that little dose of hair happiness.
Technically my hair is fine but that is just my hair and I saying we can do more with what we have! I never thought of my hair and I being at war but we have been in a sort of apathy recently.
Then I went to Coco.
From the very start of your consultation, you will find the whole experience comfortable and of a personal nature. You do not need to be fluent in all of the terms associated with hair extension. You just need to tell us how you want your hair to look and we will do the rest. We will even tell you what we are doing as we go along to make sure that you are completely happy.
Coco made the whole experience feel easy.
Why would I want to go somewhere and have to think about my hair and where I’m going to go when I already have in my head school, my family, errands, all my other beauty appointments and why the trash can looks so full in the living room?
A nice place to go to have your hair done by someone who knows what they are doing, who makes you feel that you are in good hands while you discuss your hair with them.
That is exactly how it felt.
You watch your hair grow and become more full and pretty. It is quite fun to see the version of yourself that you had wanted to see all along.
I kept catching little peeks.
Then another peek.
Then one more for research purposes.
Suddenly I was sitting there thinking, “Ohhhh. There she is.”
I have hair. My hair can be very entertained by my kids. It would like to go get its hair done. Hey, hair can be very needy too!
Nice strange.
It’s funny. Hair can seem like a really superficial thing but for moms, it’s a treat. We so rarely do anything for ourselves and hair makes you feel pretty. Like you’ve been taken care of.
And good hair has a funny way of changing your mood.
I walked in feeling like regular Amber.
I left feeling like Amber had plans.
The husband thinks I ran out of there because I had no plans. All I know is that I had to get back to the house to attend to the usual family mayhem. But I could have gone to dinner somewhere with linen napkins. My hair looked that good.
Hubby would probably laugh at how many times I look at my hair after it has been styled. Men don’t realize the emotional support a good hair day brings to a mom.
We know.
There is the mirror check.
The car mirror check.
The phone camera check.
The “accidentally” walking past another mirror check.
Very serious work.
I really felt comfortable asking questions throughout the entire process. My concerns were fully heard and I never once felt like I was being rushed or made to feel awkward while I sat in the chair to receive my hair services.
The reason the appointment was so good was because of how she made me feel throughout the experience, a beautiful feeling of comfort. Her attitude, way of explaining everything, mannerism’s, body language, made the experience feel
It is hoped that this review has given hair extension enthusiasts in Orlando some idea of their potential experience should they book a consultation with Coco Tsang. Whether interested, worried, excited or sitting in a hair salon pulling your hair forward over your shoulders wondering whether more hair would look good then this review has hopefully provided some insight.
I was that girl.
Now I’m that girl doing random hair flips in the parking lot!
Leaving a hair appointment with a good feeling does give you a little extra bounce in your step. My hair looks and feels like me but with a little more glamour!
Which is exactly what I wanted.
My only intention when walking into Coco Tsang’s studio was for my hair to look good – for me – and I didn’t want to look like someone entirely different.
Coco gave me that experience.
And of course, all this to say, I’m doing hair flips in parking lots right now and attempting to traverse stores with hair falling gently down my back (which falls down my back in a very predictable manner currently). About 47 more flips to get through and then I’ll be making some snacks for the family around here.
